To provide essential resources to overcome the many faces of hunger and human need.

Message from Director

A Word of Thanks...

Marie Jachino, Executive DirectorDear Friends,

I must start this message with a heartfelt and sincere "thank you!" Thank you for all you do to support our mission "to preserve dignity against the many faces of hunger and human need."

We could not accomplish all that we do without you!

Summer is in full swing, and for us that means we see a tremendous spike in emergency food needs---from our seniors who have to choose between paying high utility and grocery bills to families with children who face weeks of extra childcare expenses during the summer vacation, as well as needing to provide additional meals for their children where school might have done so during the academic year.  We see hunger in neighborhoods where you would never expect to exist.  But it does.

And for the many who want to give there are always a variety of ways to help during the time of our highest need. We could definitely use extra volunteers.  And cash donations are particularly needed.  Your $1 gift helps provide four meals! Our hope is that you will continue to stand with us.  Working together, we can make sure everyone has access to food.  To do less is unacceptable.  Franklin D. Roosevelt stated, "The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much, it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."

Finally, we would love to host you for a tour of the Food Bank.  You can reach me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to schedule a visit.
