Elk Grove Community Food Bank Services is proud to be a part of the Elk Grove Community Garden, a community run garden and education center in Elk Grove. There are 80 planting plots available for use by our families who regularly utilize the Food Bank.
The Garden exists to promote community identity and cooperation. It does this by helping families and individuals get back on their feet by teaching them how to grow and sustain fresh food and lead productive, healthy lives, hopefully reducing the need for further assistance from the Food Bank. The long term vision of Elk Grove Community Food Bank Services is to have several community gardens throughout Elk Grove.
The Elk Grove Community Garden shares the Food Bank’s non-profit status and resources.
