Join us for Elk Grove Food Bank Services Annual Harvest of Hope Gala Dinner on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 6:00 – 10:00 pm at Sheldon Inn. Presiding over the evening will be Master of Ceremonies, Mark S. Allen. The evening will include a silent auction and a delicious dinner followed by a live auction with Auctioneer David Sobon. From the moment of arrival, guests will enjoy musical entertainment and mingling with friends and family. Finish off the evening dancing to the tunes of The Why Nots. Mark S. Allen
Mark S. Allen is an anchor at ABC10 in Sacramento, CA specializing in entertainment. Allen is a five-time Emmy Award winning television producer/host and is a writer/producer of the film APParition, and a producer of the films, NOTORIOUS NICK, based on the true story of MMA champion Nick Newell and BallBusters. He is executive producer/host of the Emmy Award winning syndicated movie show Extra Butter TV. In 2017 he was awarded the Children’s Miracle Network “Person of The Year” award for his ongoing efforts to raise funds for children’s hospitals.
Auctioneer David Sobon
David Sobon has consulted with hundreds of foundations, services, and religious groups around the country to help fulfill their fundraising goals. In his 22 years of assisting non-profits, he has had the opportunity to consult with organizations such as Susan G. Komen, the March of Dimes, the American Red Cross, B Street Theatre, and a variety of chambers of commerce, art organizations, and schools. David Sobon is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and part of their teaching faculty. As a member of the National Auctioneers’ Association, he earned the title of Benefit Auction Specialist. David’s contributions have had a profound and lasting impact throughout the non-profit community of Sacramento and beyond.
The Why Nots
The Why Nots are becoming known as one of Sacramento’s most entertaining Classic Rock and cover bands. For over 10 years, the band has performed to public audiences at wine festivals, community and fund raising events, casinos as well as many private events including weddings, anniversaries and birthday celebrations. They have entertained at a number of major venues in the Sacramento area including The California State Fair, Raley Field, Bonney Field and the Golden One Center. Whether your attendance numbers 25 or 2500, The Why Nots will bring high energy and the classic rock sounds of The Rolling Stones, Santana, CCR, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eddie Money, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many other notable artists to everyone who enjoys good music. The band has also been known to mix in a few tunes from today’s country and pop artists to appeal to guests of all ages. The band’s number one goal is to ensure that guests are having as much fun as the band is at every event.
