You can help by donating canned and non-perishable food items at any participating school, food bank or other approved donation locations. If you're a representative for your school, you can also register for your school to participate. Deadline for sign-ups is September 18, 2015.

United Way's Day of Caring is a day of service when individuals, families and teams of coworkers or friends volunteer at nonprofit throughout the region. Elk Grove Food Bank Services has been selected as a project partner for this September 11, 2015 volunteer event.
Harvest of Hope
Join us for dinner and dancing under the stars at Elk Grove Food Bank Services’ Harvest of Hope. The gala fundraising event, on Saturday, September 12, 2015, is hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Wertz and benefits the EG Food Bank Building Fund.
Currently over 4,500 Elk Grove neighbors are served each month with emergency food, clothing and support services. No other single non-profit in Elk Grove touches more lives than EG Food Bank does every month. In order to effectively serve the rising need, the EGFBS Board of Directors is working to find a larger space to house the growing operation.
According to Executive Director Marie Jachino, “The need for additional space is paramount. The harsh reality is that the demand for our services continues to grow and our infrastructure must grow with it.”
When: Saturday, September 12, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
