How do I apply to be a client at Elk Grove Food Bank?

Residents of the following zip codes are eligible to collect emergency food from the Elk Grove Food Bank:

  • 95624 (Elk Grove)
  • 95757 (Laguna)
  • 95758 (Laguna)
  • 95828 (Florin)
  • 95829 (North of Calvine)
  • 95683 (Sloughhouse-Rancho Murieta)
  • 95693 ( Wilton)
  • 95759 (Post office boxes in Elk Grove)
  • The homeless
  • Residents of zip code 95828 are served at our Mobile Pantry at Impact Church.
    • Distribution at Impact Church is on the 2nd Thursday of each month, from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

No one is ever denied food. If a person from a zip code not listed above comes to Elk Grove Food Bank, they are given food, directions, and the phone number to the food closet or food bank that services their zip code.

To receive food, you must bring a SMUD or PG&E bill, current to within three months, to show proof of residency. You must also provide a current drivers license, passport, or government ID card for each person over the age of 18 living in the home. For persons under the age of 18, current student photo ID, birth certificate, medical insurance card, or government ID card are accepted. Social Security cards are not accepted.

Food is distributed once per calendar month to eligible families. Homeless clients can receive food twice a calendar month.

Elk Grove Food Bank is open Monday – Friday, from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We are also open on Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
